View full detailsLandscape fabric, weed barrier, drainage fabric and stabilization fabric from SRW Products and Alliance Gator, in everything from a 3 ft x 50 ft roll to a 15 ft x 360 ft contractor roll. Woven and non woven fabrics do genuinely different jobs, and using the wrong one is why fabric fails.
| Type | What It Does | Use It For |
|---|---|---|
| Woven | High tensile strength, blocks weeds, water passes slowly | Under gravel and pavers, driveways, weed control in beds |
| Non woven | Filters and lets water pass freely, less tensile strength | Drainage, French drains, behind retaining walls, separation |
| Geogrid | Structural reinforcement, not a barrier | Retaining wall reinforcement, base stabilization |
Using woven weed barrier where drainage fabric belongs. Behind a retaining wall or around a drain pipe, water has to pass through freely. A woven fabric slows that down, water builds up behind the wall, and hydrostatic pressure is the leading cause of retaining wall failure. Non woven fabric belongs anywhere water needs to move.
