Match the sprayer to the sealer

Water based sealers can go through a standard poly sprayer. Solvent based sealers and acid based cleaners need a sprayer whose seals are rated for them. If the product listing or the manufacturer does not say a sprayer is rated for solvents, treat it as not rated.

Getting an even coat

Work in small sections, keep a wet edge and follow the coverage, back-rolling and recoat directions on your sealer label. Rinse or flush the sprayer the way the sealer manufacturer recommends as soon as you finish.
