Pick the gun that fits the package
Sausage style adhesives such as Techniseal StickyStone need a sausage gun. Foam adhesives such as Techniseal Structure Bond need their own dispenser gun, plus the matching gun cleaner. Standard cartridges fit a caulking gun.
What the ratio means
The ratio on a caulking gun, such as 3:1, 10:1 or 18:1, is its thrust ratio. A higher ratio pushes thick construction adhesive with less hand effort, which helps on long runs of wall caps.
