SEK Surebond SB-6000 Wet Look Paver Sealer, Water Based Satin, 1 Gallon
The Case For Water Based
A solvent sealer will out-gloss this one. What SB-6000 gives you instead is a product you can use indoors, clean up with water, ship without hazmat paperwork and apply without gassing out a screened porch. For most residential patios that trade is worth making.
- Interior and exterior. One of the few sealers here rated for indoor use.
- Salt, acid and corrosive protection. Real winter durability, not just looks.
- Breathable. Will not trap moisture or efflorescence behind the film.
- Immediate application. Can go down right after installation.
- Stain resistant. Enhanced tone plus easier cleaning.
Coverage Per Gallon
A second coat goes much further than the first, because the first coat has already sealed most of the porosity.
| Pavers and hardscape | 100 to 200 sq ft per gallon |
| Concrete | 150 to 250 sq ft per gallon |
| Vertical surfaces | 100 to 200 sq ft per gallon |
| Second coat | About 200 to 300 sq ft per gallon |
| Basis | Single coat unless noted |
Approved Surfaces
SEK rates SB-6000 for the following. Natural stone and clay vary batch to batch, so SEK asks you to test a small area first to confirm both performance and appearance.
- Concrete and clay pavers
- Stamped and flat concrete
- Masonry and exposed aggregate
- Natural and manufactured stone
- Segmental retaining wall block and concrete walls
- Porous and unglazed tile, terrazzo and terra cotta
- New and old surfaces, indoors and outdoors
Where It Should Not Be Used, Straight From SEK
These are the manufacturer’s exclusions, not ours.
- Granite and marble. Not recommended.
- Asphalt. Not recommended.
- Glazed or ceramic tile. Not recommended.
- Always test a small area first. Natural stone and clay vary, and SEK asks for a test patch every time.

Before You Seal
Every SEK sealer wants a clean, dry surface. If the pavers have efflorescence, ground in dirt or an old failed sealer on them, that has to come off first or the new sealer bonds to the contamination instead of the paver.
