SEK Surebond SB-6400 Hybrid Penetrating Paver Sealer, Matte, 1 Gallon
Enhancing And Penetrating At The Same Time
Normally you choose. A film former enhances colour but sits on top and eventually needs stripping. A penetrating sealer disappears but does little for colour. SB-6400 is built to do both, deepening tone while bonding into the substrate, and it finishes matte so the paver still reads as stone.
- Deeply enhances surface tone. Enriched colour without a gloss coat.
- Repels water and oil. Oil repellency is rare and it matters on a driveway.
- Reduces biological growth. Mold, moss and algae.
- Breathable. Will not trap moisture or efflorescence.
- Works on grout and tile. Including unglazed tile and terra cotta.

These figures are for two coats, and the spread on low density concrete is enormous because porous concrete simply drinks it.

SEK rates SB-6400 for the following. Natural stone and clay vary batch to batch, so SEK asks you to test a small area first to confirm both performance and appearance.
- Natural and manufactured stone containing quartz
- Concrete and clay pavers, stamped concrete
- Masonry, retaining wall blocks and concrete walls
- Exposed aggregate and grout
- Unglazed tile and terra cotta
- New and old surfaces, indoors and outdoors
Where It Should Not Be Used, Straight From SEK
These are the manufacturer’s exclusions, not ours.
- Granite and marble. Not recommended.
- Asphalt. Not recommended.
- Limestone and slate. Not recommended for this product specifically.
- Agglomerate tiles, glazed or ceramic tile. Not recommended.
- Always test a small area first. Natural stone varies and this sealer changes tone.

Before You Seal
Every SEK sealer wants a clean, dry surface. If the pavers have efflorescence, ground in dirt or an old failed sealer on them, that has to come off first or the new sealer bonds to the contamination instead of the paver.
