A Cream Stripper That Clings To Vertical Surfaces And Does Not Kill The Planting

Eco-Stripper is a cream rather than a liquid, and that changes what you can do with it. It stays where you put it, so it works on walls and facades as well as flat paving. It removes virtually any stain, sealant, or coating from previously treated surfaces without affecting the substrate, and it dries to a powder or thick paste that you lift off. Techniseal rates it as eco friendly and states it does not damage vegetation or the substrate.

Cream Formula
Stays put on vertical surfaces
Removes Most Coatings
Stains, sealants, and coatings
Safe For Planting
Does not damage vegetation or substrate
Dries To Powder
Lift it off rather than flushing it away

Why Contractors Ask for Eco-Stripper by Name

Stripping a sealer next to a lawn or a planting bed with a liquid stripper means the runoff goes somewhere, and it is usually somewhere the customer cares about.

  • It is a cream, so it stays where you apply it. Liquid strippers run off vertical surfaces and pool in low areas. A cream lets you treat a wall, a facade, or a step riser properly.
  • It removes virtually any stain, sealant, and coating from previously treated surfaces, which is what you need when you do not know what was originally applied.
  • It does not affect the substrate. Techniseal states it removes coatings without damaging the surface underneath.
  • It does not damage vegetation. On a residential patio surrounded by planting and lawn, that is the difference between a clean job and a very awkward conversation.
  • It dries to a powder or a thick paste, so the dissolved coating is lifted off with the residue rather than flushed across the property.
  • It works on horizontal and vertical surfaces alike, which very few strippers manage.

Eco-Stripper Specifications

Product Type Sealant dissolver and stripper, cream formula
Form Cream, dries to powder or thick paste
Removes Most stains, sealants, and coatings
Orientation Horizontal and vertical surfaces
Environmental Eco friendly, does not damage vegetation or substrate
Approved Surfaces Concrete pavers and concrete slabs
Coverage Apply as needed
Manufacturer Techniseal

Coverage depends on how thick the existing coating is and how heavily you apply the cream. A single old sealer film uses far less than several layers built up over many years of resealing.

Where Eco-Stripper Works

Reach for Eco-Stripper when you need to remove a coating and the surroundings matter.

  • Stripping old sealer from concrete paver patios and driveways
  • Vertical surfaces such as walls, facades, and step risers
  • Work adjacent to lawns, planting beds, and vegetable gardens
  • Surfaces where the existing coating is unknown
  • Removing stubborn stains along with the coating
  • Preparing a surface for a fresh sealer where the old film must come off first
  • Concrete slab surfaces

Where Eco-Stripper Should NOT Be Used (Straight From the Manufacturer)

Techniseal lists concrete pavers and concrete slabs. Check the technical data sheet before using it on natural stone or clay.

Eco friendly does not mean harmless. Follow the safety data sheet for personal protection and handling.

Test a small discrete area first, especially where the existing coating is unknown.

Do not seal until the surface is completely clean and fully dry. Residual stripper under a new sealer causes adhesion failure.

Read the technical data sheet for dwell time and removal method before you start.

How to Use Eco-Stripper

Follow the official Techniseal instructions, linked below. This is the shape of the job:

  1. Sweep the surface clear of loose debris.
  2. Test in a small discrete area to confirm the result and the dwell time on your specific coating.
  3. Apply the cream to the treated surface at the thickness the technical data sheet specifies.
  4. Allow the specified dwell time. On vertical surfaces the cream holds position rather than running.
  5. Once it has dried to a powder or thick paste, lift and remove the residue.
  6. Rinse and neutralize as directed, then let the surface dry completely before applying anything new.

Do not rush the dwell. Removing the cream early takes the stripper off but leaves the coating, which is the most common reason people think a stripper underperformed.

Quick Answers

Will it work on vertical surfaces?
Yes. The cream formula is specifically designed so it can be applied to horizontal and vertical surfaces alike.

Is it safe around plants?
Techniseal states it does not damage vegetation or the substrate. Follow the technical data sheet and protect planting where practical.

What coatings does it remove?
Techniseal describes it as removing virtually all stains, sealants, and coatings from previously treated surfaces.

How is it different from the Stripper for Concrete and Masonry?
That product is for alkyd sealers and will not work on acrylic based sealers. Eco-Stripper is the broader option and it works vertically.

Can I reseal straight after?
No. The surface must be completely clean and fully dry first, or the new sealer will not adhere properly.

Can I use it on natural stone?
Techniseal lists concrete pavers and slabs. Check the technical data sheet before using it on stone.
