Techniseal StickyStone Hardscape Adhesive for Vertical Stone Veneer
The Vertical Veneer Adhesive That Grabs Hard Enough To Stop Stone Sagging
On vertical veneer, the problem is not final bond strength, it is the first ten minutes. Stone wants to slide down the wall while the adhesive is still wet. StickyStone is a professional grade vertical hardscape adhesive built around superior initial grab that resists sagging, so the piece stays where you put it. Solvent free, low odor, low VOC, and rated for indoor and outdoor use.

Why Contractors Ask for StickyStone by Name
Anyone who has veneered a column knows the feeling of watching a stone creep downward and having to hold it. An adhesive with real initial grab removes that from the job.
- Superior initial grab that resists sagging. That is the headline property and it is the one that determines how fast a veneer job actually goes.
- Built for vertical hardscape specifically. This is not a general adhesive being used vertically; it is formulated for the orientation.
- Solvent free, low odor, and low VOC. That matters enormously on indoor work such as interior feature walls and fireplace surrounds, and on occupied properties generally.
- Indoor and outdoor rated. One product for an outdoor kitchen and the interior feature wall in the same house.
- Bonds a wide range of substrates: natural stone, concrete pavers, porcelain tile, and wood, plus a range of other construction substrates.
- Applies with an applicator gun, giving controlled placement rather than trowelled mortar and the mess that comes with it.
- Techniseal names the applications directly: outdoor kitchens, fire pits, and columns.

Coverage on veneer adhesive depends on the substrate flatness and the bead pattern you use. A flat, true backing takes far less adhesive than an uneven one. Work out your square footage and call us if you want help estimating tube count.
Where StickyStone Works
Anywhere stone or porcelain has to stay on a vertical face.
- Stone veneer on outdoor kitchens and bar structures
- Fire pit and fireplace surrounds
- Columns, piers, and pillars
- Retaining wall and seating wall facing
- Interior feature walls where low odor matters
- Porcelain cladding on vertical surfaces
- Wood substrate installations
- Step risers and vertical faces on stairs
Where StickyStone Should NOT Be Used (Straight From the Manufacturer)
This is a vertical adhesive. For high yield horizontal and structural work such as long wall courses and cap stones, Techniseal Structure Bond is the better economics.
Initial grab does not replace mechanical support where the design calls for it. Follow the veneer system requirements for your assembly.
Substrate preparation still governs the result. Clean, sound, and appropriately flat backing is required.
Read the technical data sheet and safety data sheet before use, including cure time and temperature limits.

How to Install StickyStone
Follow the official Techniseal instructions, linked below. This is the shape of the job:
- Confirm the substrate is clean, sound, dry, and suitable for the veneer system.
- Load the tube into the applicator gun.
- Apply the adhesive to the back of the veneer piece in the pattern the technical data sheet specifies.
- Press the piece firmly into position and hold briefly to let the initial grab take.
- Work in a sequence that lets you check alignment as you go rather than correcting a whole panel later.
- Allow the full cure time before loading or pointing the veneer.
Even with strong initial grab, press firmly and hold for a moment. That contact is what activates the grab, and skipping it is why pieces occasionally creep.
Quick Answers
Will the stone slide down the wall?
Resisting sag is the property this adhesive is built around. Press firmly on placement and the initial grab holds the piece.
Can I use it indoors?
Yes. It is solvent free with low odor and low VOC, and Techniseal rates it for indoor and outdoor applications.
What substrates does it bond?
Natural stone, concrete pavers, porcelain tile, wood, and a range of other construction substrates.
How is it different from Structure Bond?
StickyStone is for vertical veneer with high initial grab. Structure Bond is a high yield polyurethane foam for structural and horizontal work such as wall courses and caps.
Do I need a gun for it?
Yes, it applies with an applicator gun. There is a bundle option with the dispenser above, and we stock the gun separately.
Is it suitable for a fire pit?
Techniseal names fire pits as a target application. Check the technical data sheet for temperature limits relative to your specific design.
