SEK Surebond SB-9000 Wet Look Paver Sealer, High Gloss Solvent Based, 1 Gallon
What High Solids Actually Buys You
Solids are the part of the sealer left behind after the carrier evaporates. More solids means more film per coat, which means more gloss and more protection for the same labour. It is also why this product costs more per gallon than the thinner sealers.
- Guards against salt, acid and corrosives. Relevant on anything that sees winter de-icer.
- Will not yellow. Holds clear under UV instead of ambering.
- Stain resistant. Easier cleaning and maintenance over the life of the surface.
- Breathable. Will not trap moisture or efflorescence.
- Wider surface list than most. Includes terrazzo, terra cotta and porous unglazed tile.
Coverage Per Gallon
Coverage varies by substrate more than most sealers here, because gloss build depends on how much the surface drinks.
| Pavers and hardscape | 100 to 200 sq ft per gallon |
| Concrete | 150 to 200 sq ft per gallon |
| Retaining walls and vertical surfaces | 100 to 200 sq ft per gallon |
| Basis | One coat |
Approved Surfaces
SEK rates SB-9000 for the following. Natural stone and clay vary batch to batch, so SEK asks you to test a small area first to confirm both performance and appearance.
- Concrete and clay pavers
- Stamped and flat concrete
- Masonry and exposed aggregate
- Natural and manufactured stone
- Segmental retaining wall block and concrete walls
- Porous and unglazed tile, terrazzo and terra cotta
- Can be applied immediately after installation
Where It Should Not Be Used, Straight From SEK
These are the manufacturer’s exclusions, not ours.
- Granite and marble. Not recommended.
- Asphalt. Not recommended.
- Glazed or ceramic tile. Not recommended.
- Always test a small area first. Natural stone and clay vary, and SEK asks for a test patch every time.

Gloss Is A Commitment
A high gloss sealer is the most visible finish you can put on a paver, and taking it back off means stripping. If the customer is unsure, seal a small out of the way area first and let them look at it in daylight before you commit the whole driveway.
