Permeable Joints Lose Their Chips, And This Is The Fix
Permeable interlocking concrete pavement depends on open joints filled with clean angular chip. The problem is that loose chip migrates: it scatters under traffic, gets blown out, gets vacuumed out during maintenance. SB-1000 PermStik binds that chip in place without sealing the joint closed, which would defeat the entire system.

Stabilizing Without Sealing
An ordinary sealer in a permeable joint is a failure, because the whole point of PICP is that water moves through the joint into the base. PermStik is formulated to hold the chip while remaining breathable and permeable, so the pavement keeps doing its hydrological job.

A Note On Chip
PermStik is designed to work with clean, washed, angular chip that meets the open graded spec. SEK makes Perm Chips for exactly this, a crushed and washed granite chip that meets ASTM #9 stone specs with a 100 percent fractured surface. Dirty or rounded aggregate will not stabilize properly no matter what you put on it.
