Why Contractors Ask for PS by Name
Film sealers fail visibly: they peel, blush and wear through in traffic lanes. A penetrating sealer cannot, because there is no film to fail.
- Protection from within. Soaks in and defends against freeze-thaw, salts, chemical erosion and efflorescence.
- Truly invisible. No sheen, no color change, no film look.
- Breathable. Moisture never gets trapped in the paver.
- CARB compliant. Water based, interior or exterior.
Coverage: How Many Gallons Do You Need?
Per SRW's technical data sheet, PS covers:
- 1 gallon: 200 sq ft
- 5 gallon: 1,000 sq ft
Coverage varies with surface porosity. For an exact count, use our free Sealer Calculator, or call or text (856) 418-4895.
Where PS Works
PS is recommended by SRW Products for the surfaces below, interior or exterior:
- Concrete, clay and permeable pavers
- Block retaining walls
- Manufactured stone
Where PS Should NOT Be Used (Straight From the Manufacturer)
We would rather tell you this before you buy than argue about it after. Per SRW's technical data sheet, do not use more than one sealer on the same project, and never seal a wet or damp surface: the paver must be completely dry for even penetration.

Installation at a Glance
The full step by step guide is in the official TDS below. Here is the shape of the job:
- Clean. the surface and let it dry completely. New pavers should be 60 to 90 days from manufacture before sealing.
- Apply. a uniform, saturating coat with a slit foam roller or pump sprayer, without leaving puddles.
- Recoat. if the label calls for it on your surface.
- Cure. 24 hours before foot traffic.
Apply between 50F and 80F on a completely dry surface, and always test in a small discrete area first.
Quick Answers
Will it change how my pavers look?
No. It protects from inside the paver with no film, no sheen and no color change.
PS or PSX?
PS is the standard grade for typical patios and walks. PSX is the premium grade for driveways and high traffic. Same invisible finish.
Can it peel or blush?
No. There is no film to fail, which is the core advantage of penetrating protection.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Order the PS sealer sample and test a patch before committing to gallons.
Is there anything I should know about handling it?
Wear gloves and eye protection, follow the label, and keep it away from children and pets until placed or cured. Full precautions are in the SDS below.
