Efflorescence Without Reaching For Muriatic Acid
That white bloom on new pavers is efflorescence, mineral salt migrating out of the concrete. The traditional fix is acid, which also etches the paver and kills whatever it runs into. Efflo Off is a buffered concentrate built on organic salts and additives instead, so it lifts the deposit without the collateral damage.

Why Not Just Use Acid
Muriatic acid removes efflorescence by dissolving the surface it is sitting on. It works, and it also opens the paver face, dulls the colour and can burn planting beds and hardware nearby. Efflo Off is formulated to release the mineral deposit chemically rather than eat the substrate.
- Removes efflorescence, mineral and salt deposits. The white haze on new and older hardscape.
- Biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Organic salt chemistry rather than mineral acid.
- Also lifts general dirt and grime. So it doubles as a pre-seal cleaner.
- Clean Rinse Technology. Residue rinses away with a pressure washer.
- Compatible with Surebond sealers. When properly diluted.
Dilution And Coverage
Heavy efflorescence usually takes more than one pass. That is normal and it is cheaper than over concentrating and damaging the paver.

Where To Be Careful, Straight From SEK
- Not for asphalt. Do not use it there.
- Wet cast pavers. Sensitive surfaces can suffer colour damage, test carefully.
- Protect wood, metal and plants. It can damage certain woods, metals and planting around the work area.
- It can damage existing sealers. Misuse will attack a sealed surface.
- Always test first. Every time, on every surface.
