Important: Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss is for unsealed concrete paver surfaces only. It cannot be used as a resealer over an existing sealer coating. Pavers must be clean and largely dry, though Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss can be applied on slightly damp surfaces unlike solvent based sealers and free of all stains and efflorescence before application. Wait at least 60 days after new paver installation before sealing. Temperature must be between 60°F and 85°F at time of application.
Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss is an water based acrylic sealer that penetrates deep into concrete paver surfaces to protect them from the inside out. It delivers a high gloss wet look finish that enhances the natural color of your pavers with a subtle sheen. The result is a clean high gloss appearance that makes pavers look their best while adding a durable protective layer underneath.
Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss protects concrete pavers against oil and dirt penetration, de icing salt corrosion, and UV ray damage that fades paver color over time. It also acts as a joint stabilizer, helping to firm up polymeric sand joints and reduce joint erosion between sealing cycles. One coat is all that is needed. When used as a joint sand stabilizer with ASTM C144 sand rather than polymeric sand, coverage is approximately 100 sq ft per gallon. Critical pre-application requirements: Pavers must be at least 60 days old. Surface must be 100 percent dry. pavers and jointing sand both. Temperature must be between 40°F and 85°F. Paver surface must be cool to the touch. No rain expected within 24 hours of application. Allow 48 hours after polymeric sand installation before sealing. All stains, efflorescence, and existing sealer must be fully removed before Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss is applied. Test on a hidden 4 sq ft area first.

Remove all stains and strip any existing sealer
Remove all oil, grease, and rust stains using the appropriate Gator Clean products. If any unknown coating exists on the paver surface, remove it completely using Gator Sealer Stripper before applying Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss. Applying over a contaminated or previously sealed surface will result in poor adhesion and sealer failure.

Replace contaminated jointing sand
Remove all contaminated jointing material and replace with fresh Gator Polymeric Sand following the standard installation instructions. Allow the new polymeric sand to harden for a minimum of 48 hours at above 60°F with no rain before proceeding to the next step.

Clean the entire surface with Gator Efflorescence Cleaner
Clean the entire paver surface with Gator Efflorescence Cleaner. This removes any efflorescence trapped in the paver pores and thoroughly cleans the surface to ensure proper sealer adhesion. Wait at least 48 hours at above 60°F with no rain after cleaning so the surface and polymeric sand are completely dry before applying Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss.

Apply Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss in 60 sq ft sections
Using a sprayer, apply one coat of Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss in sections of approximately 60 sq ft at a time. Do not thin or dilute the product. Apply evenly across each section before moving to the back rolling step. Work in sections to ensure the sealer does not begin to cure before the roller step is completed.

Back roll immediately with a water based foam roller (yellow)
Immediately after spraying each 60 sq ft section, use a water based foam roller (yellow) to back roll the Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss, removing excess sealer left on the surface. This step is critical to achieving an even, consistent finish. This is why two people are recommended. one sprays while the other back rolls. Apply one coat only.

Allow 24 hoursutes to rain safe, 24 hours to full use
Alliance Gator Hybrid Seal High Gloss is rain safe 24 hoursutes after application. Keep foot traffic and vehicles off the sealed surface for 24 hours after application to allow the sealer to fully cure. Clean all application equipment with water and soap immediately after use.
