The Three Part EZ Way System
SEK sells these as a system and they do different jobs. EZ Set is the permeable setting bed binder. EZ Bond is the polymer modified wet set that bonds the paving unit down onto that bed.

The Failure This Is Designed To Prevent
A traditional mortar bed is effectively watertight. Any water that gets past the paver joints has nowhere to go, so it sits at the bed line, freezes, expands and lifts. EZ Set builds a bed that lets that water keep moving down and out, which also cuts the efflorescence migration that trapped water drives up through the joints.
