- Excavate. and compact the subgrade or trench.
- Roll. the fabric out with several inches of overlap at seams; for French drains, line the trench with enough fabric to wrap over the top of the stone.
- Pin. edges and seams with landscape staples.
- Place. aggregate and build as normal.
