Paver Restraint In A Bag, With No Rail And No Spikes
EdgeCrete replaces the plastic rail and the steel spikes with a fiber reinforced cementitious mix you trowel against the outside course. There is nothing to spike into, which is exactly why it works over open graded base where spikes hold poorly, and nothing plastic at the perimeter to become visible as the soil settles.

When A Bag Beats A Rail
Rail and spike restraint is fast and cheap on a compacted dense graded base. It is much less convincing over open graded stone, on a tight radius, or where the perimeter is irregular. A cementitious haunch conforms to whatever shape the edge actually is and derives its strength from mass and bond rather than from a fastener.

- Suitable for open graded base applications. Where spiked restraint is least reliable.
