Quikrete Premium Concrete Bonding Adhesive 1 Gallon, No. 9902
Bond New Concrete To Old Without Chipping The Surface First
Quikrete Premium Concrete Bonding Adhesive, product No. 9902, is a non redispersible latex bonding agent you apply directly to the existing surface. It forms a chemical bond, which is what lets you skip the chipping, drilling and roughening that mechanical bonding normally demands. New concrete, cementitious toppings, gypsum plasters and stuccos all bond to it. If instead you want an additive that goes into the mix itself, that is the Quikrete Concrete Acrylic Fortifier No. 8610.
Three Ways To Use It
- Paint on: brush, roll or spray it straight from the jug onto the prepared surface. Coverage runs 35 to 75 sq ft per quart.
- Slurry coat: blend it with Portland cement and scrub the slurry into the surface. Coverage about 19 sq ft per quart.
- Primer: dilute with water ahead of a self leveling floor resurfacer. Coverage 150 to 300 sq ft per quart.
Why Contractors Reach For It
- Chemical bond rather than a mechanical one, so surface prep is far less work.
- Dry or damp surfaces both take it, which matters on exterior work.
- Interior and exterior rated, for overlays, toppings, plaster and stucco.
- Meets ASTM C1059 as both Type I and Type II.
