Why Washed and Graded Matters
Unwashed stone carries fines, silt and dust. In a drainage bed those fines migrate down and block the voids that make the bed work, so a drain built from cheap stone can stop draining within a season. In concrete, fines change the water demand and weaken the mix. Meeting ASTM C33 means the gradation is controlled rather than whatever came off the pile.
Buying by the Bag or by the Pallet
A 50 lb bag is convenient for a small area, a repair or a single planter, and it is the sensible way to buy when you need a known quantity. For anything approaching a yard, bulk delivery is cheaper per pound. We sell it by the pallet at 56 bags, so call us if the job is large enough that pallet pricing makes sense.
