Broom handles come in two common diameters and they are not interchangeable. This is the 15/16 inch, which fits most household and light duty broom heads. The heavier 1 1/8 inch handle, which we also stock, fits contractor and shop broom heads. Measure the old handle or the socket on the head before you order, because a handle that is a sixteenth out will not thread in.

Why We Stock Broom Handles
Sweeping is half of a polymeric sand installation. You sweep the sand into the joints, you sweep the excess off the surface before you water, and if you leave residue behind you get haze on the paver face. A broom that flexes on a loose or split handle makes that job worse. It is a small part that matters more than it looks.
