A plastic lever sized for five gallon pail lids. Pail lids clip around a deep rim and fight back, and levering them off with a screwdriver deforms the clips so the lid never seats properly again. This does it evenly, all the way round.

Why a Pail Opener Is Different
A five gallon pail lid is not a scaled up paint can lid. It seats on a ring of clips around a deep rim and needs to be walked off progressively rather than prised at one point. Lever it in one spot and you distort the clips, and a pail that will not reseal is a real problem when it holds four remaining gallons of sealer.
