Nitrile Seals Decide What Goes In It
Chapin publishes the seal material for this model, which is more than they do for some, and it is nitrile. Chapin files nitrile under general chemical resistant, meaning common household and garden chemicals. It is not their solvent material and it is not their acid material. A solvent based sealer will swell nitrile until it fails, usually mid job.
Important: This Sprayer Is Not for Sealers or Acid Cleaners
We sell a lot of paver sealers and hardscape cleaners, so we need to be direct about this. Chapin rates this sprayer for fertilizers, weed killers and pesticides. They publish no solvent rating and no acid rating for it. A solvent based sealer will swell and destroy the seals, and an acid cleaner will attack either the seals or the tank. Chapin makes purpose built models for both jobs and we would rather point you at the right one than sell you this twice.

| Acid cleaners and acid stains | Chapin 22230XP or 22240XP, which use Chapin acid resistant COPT seals in a poly tank |

Looking After It
- Do not store chemicals in the tank. Empty, rinse and drain after every use.
- Do not switch chemicals without a thorough clean. Residue cross contaminates the next batch even after rinsing.
- Release the pressure before opening. Every year someone opens a pressurised tank and wears the contents.
- Wear eye protection, and do not spray in windy conditions.
