Rust Results Vary More Than Any Other Stain

Orange staining on pavers comes from three places: a metal object left sitting out, sprinkler water high in iron, or fertilizer granules thrown by a spreader. All three respond differently, and how deep the stain has penetrated matters more than how dark it looks.

A sample is the honest way to find out whether your stain will clear in one soak or needs several. It also lets you check for any lightening on a hidden paver, which matters because rust removers work by chemically converting the iron.

How to Use the Sample

• Pick a representative rust mark, ideally not the worst one
• Apply ready to use, do not dilute
• Let it soak two to three minutes per the Alliance label
• Agitate and rinse thoroughly with water
• Let the paver dry completely, then repeat if the stain has faded but not cleared
