Alliance Gator Rock Bond is a one component liquid binding agent that, when mixed with clean, dry riverstone, granite, limestone, or marble, creates a durable, porous, permeable, and decorative hardscape surface. The result is a solid stone surface that locks individual stones in place, resists erosion, drains freely, and holds up in extreme outdoor conditions. all without the need for mortar, concrete, or conventional paving materials.
Alliance Gator Rock Bond creates a surface that is completely permeable, meaning water drains directly through the stone rather than running off. This makes it ideal for garden pathways, tree wells, and any application where drainage and erosion control are important considerations. The bound stone surface requires minimal maintenance compared to loose gravel and eliminates the ongoing issue of stones scattering, migrating, or washing away over time.

What Is Alliance Gator Rock Bond Liquid Binding Agent Used For?
Garden pathways and walkways Alliance Gator Rock Bond is ideal for creating decorative stone pathways through garden beds and outdoor living spaces. The bound stone surface keeps individual stones locked in place without the ongoing maintenance required by loose gravel, while the permeable surface allows water to drain through freely rather than pooling or running off the pathway.
Tree wells and planting beds Alliance Gator Rock Bond is commonly used to create decorative, low-maintenance stone surfaces in tree wells and around planting beds. The permeable bound stone surface allows water and air to reach tree and plant roots while keeping the stone in place and eliminating weed growth and erosion from the area.
Banding, edging, and decorative trimming Alliance Gator Rock Bond is used for creating decorative stone banding and edge detail around paver patios, garden beds, driveways, and landscaped areas. A narrow band of bound river stone provides a clean, finished look that separates different landscape zones without the formality of a hard edge.
Areas where erosion and drainage are concerns Loose stone and gravel surfaces are prone to erosion from rain and irrigation. Alliance Gator Rock Bond locks the stone in place while maintaining full permeability, making it effective in sloped areas, drainage channels, and any location where unbound stone would wash or migrate over time.
Pedestrian use only. not for driveways or vehicular traffic Alliance Gator Rock Bond is rated for pedestrian applications only. Do not use under driveways, parking areas, or any surface that will receive vehicular loads. The bound stone surface is durable under foot traffic but is not engineered to withstand the loads imposed by vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions: Alliance Gator Rock Bond Liquid Binding Agent
Alliance Gator Rock Bond is a liquid binding agent that coats the surface of each stone and bonds them together as it cures. Any moisture present on the stone surface at the time of mixing will prevent the binder from adhering properly to the stone. If the stones are wet or damp, the binder will not fully bond and the finished surface will be weak and prone to failure. Always confirm stones are 100 percent dry before opening and mixing with Alliance Gator Rock Bond. If stones have been stored outside, bring them inside to dry completely before use.
Alliance Gator Rock Bond has a high gloss appearance immediately after it cures. This initial shine is normal and expected. The gloss will naturally diminish over approximately 3 months as the binder weathers and the surface takes on a more natural matte stone appearance. This weathering process does not affect the bonding strength of the Alliance Gator Rock Bond at all. the stones remain firmly locked in place throughout and after this transition period.
One gallon of Alliance Gator Rock Bond mixed with 320 lb of dry stone covers approximately 80 sq ft at the minimum 1/2 inch application depth. For a 160 sq ft garden pathway, you would need 2 gallons. For a 400 sq ft installation, approximately 5 gallons. If you are applying at greater than 1/2 inch depth, coverage per gallon will decrease proportionally. Call us at (856) 418-4895 and we will help you calculate the exact quantity for your project dimensions and desired depth.
