Installation at a Glance
The full step by step guide is in the official TDS below. Here is the shape of the job:
- Dry. surface and dry joints first, with no rain expected until activation is done.
- Sweep. X-Treme into the joints until full to about 1/8 inch below the surface or chamfer.
- Compact. so the sand consolidates, then top the joints up.
- Clean. every grain off the paver faces with a blower. Residue on the surface is what becomes haze.
- Activate. with water per the bag directions. Joints are rain safe about 20 minutes after activation.
Keep foot traffic off until cured per the bag, vehicles longer, and always test in a small discrete area first.
Pick Your Color With Confidence
X-Treme is available in Tan and Granite. SRW notes in their own documentation that actual color varies by geographic location, and screens make it worse: every monitor shows color differently.

How soon is X-Treme rain safe?
20 minutes after joint activation. For the best long-term result, still aim for a dry forecast and let the full cure happen undisturbed.
Will it work on my flagstone?
Yes. Joints up to 6 inches is exactly the wide, irregular territory flagstone lives in.
Can I use it on porcelain tile?
SRW does not list porcelain for X-Treme, and we will not tell you otherwise just to sell a bag. Call us at (856) 418-4895 and we will point you to the right product.
How many bags do I need?
Wide joints consume sand fast and coverage swings with joint width and depth. Use our free calculator with your paver size and joint width, or call or text us.
Is there anything I should know about handling it?
