Keep foot traffic off until cured per the bag, vehicles longer, and always test in a small discrete area first.

Pick Your Color With Confidence

X-Treme is available in Tan and Granite. SRW notes in their own documentation that actual color varies by geographic location, and screens make it worse: every monitor shows color differently.

Not 100% sure which color matches your pavers? Order our X-Treme Color Sample Kit first and compare real material on your actual stone before buying full units. Jointing material is permanent once cured; a few dollars of certainty is cheap.

20 minutes after joint activation. For the best long-term result, still aim for a dry forecast and let the full cure happen undisturbed.

Will it work on my flagstone?
Yes. Joints up to 6 inches is exactly the wide, irregular territory flagstone lives in.

Can I use it on porcelain tile?
SRW does not list porcelain for X-Treme, and we will not tell you otherwise just to sell a bag. Call us at (856) 418-4895 and we will point you to the right product.

How many bags do I need?
Wide joints consume sand fast and coverage swings with joint width and depth. Use our free calculator with your paver size and joint width, or call us.

Is there anything I should know about handling it?
Wear gloves and eye protection, follow the label, and keep it away from children and pets until placed or cured. Full precautions are in the SDS below.

How wide can the joints be?

The manufacturer rates this product for joints 1/4" to 6". Measure the widest joint on the job, not the average; if it is wider than that, pick a sand rated for wider joints or use the project finder.

How many bags do I need?

Coverage depends on paver size, joint width and joint depth, so a bag count from a square-foot number alone can be off by half. The coverage calculator uses this product's own data sheet figures: enter your area, paver size and joint width and it gives you the bag count.

Which colors does it come in?

2 options: Granite, Tan. Screens shift color, so check a color sample against your own pavers before ordering full bags if the shade matters.

When will it ship?

In-stock orders placed before 2:00 PM Eastern on a weekday ship the same day from our Williamstown, New Jersey warehouse by UPS or FedEx Ground. The cut-off is when the carriers start arriving; order after it, or on a weekend, and it ships the next business day. Just missed it? all was good but color not same from bag to bag

i got 4 bags works well easy to use good in wide gaps and then had to get 2 more and the second batch was a different color so looks are not what i like it was all purchased as granite in color

Appreciate the honest feedback, Scott. Polymeric sand is made from natural aggregate, and color and grain size can vary with the source — SRW notes that actual color varies by region. That's not something you can see until two orders sit side by side, like yours did. Our own recommendation, not SRW's: order the whole job at once, and if you do add bags later, pull from more than one bag as you work so any variation averages across the joints. If the second Granite is well outside the normal range, send a photo to info@polymericsandstore.com and we'll take it up with SRW.

Amazing

Works great easy to use

Very good product

I had filled my joints on backyard stone patio and quite happy with the results. The color is perfect and so far the durability appears to be too. Very easy to work with and since the joints were up to 4" inches wide, this is the type of sand I needed. I would purchase this product again.

So far so good

Everything is looking promising. The product performs as expected; we used it for filling the wider gaps between the flagstones.

However, they need to improve their delivery process. The bags were not completely sealed, which resulted in sand spilling out into the boxes and the UPS truck.

Good product, leaking package and bad shipping/delivery

The product itself is good quality and just as expected for our stone walkways. But the packaging leaks and it was shipped in a cardboard box with no wrap or other protective way of keeping it from leaking sand on our porch. Also order was for two bags and one was delivered to neighbors house separately.

Appreciate the review, Rick — glad the sand itself performed. The packaging hit is fair; 50 lb bags abrade against the box in transit and can start to weep at the seams, and we've passed it to our shipping team. The split delivery and the bag that went to a neighbor are carrier-side, and we'll flag them.
