What Is Alliance Gator Shampoo Concentrated Paver Cleaner?
Important: Alliance Gator Shampoo must always be diluted before use. The correct mix is 4 parts water to 1 part Gator Shampoo concentrate. Any concentration stronger than this can discolor your pavers. Do not let the product dry on the surface. Do not apply under hot sun. Always keep the paver surface wet from start to finish. Test on a hidden 4 sq ft area first.

It removes embedded dirt from the surface of concrete pavers, wet cast stone, natural stone, patio slabs, walls, and more. restoring the surface to its original clean, vibrant appearance without damaging the paver joints, the surrounding vegetation, or the surface itself.
Alliance Gator Shampoo is a concentrated liquid that is mixed 4 parts water to 1 part concentrate before application. One gallon of concentrate mixed with 4 gallons of water creates 5 gallons of diluted solution that cleans approximately 375 square feet of paver surface. The 5 gallon concentrate size creates 25 gallons of diluted solution that cleans approximately 1,900 square feet, making it the better value for larger projects or contractors.
Alliance Gator Shampoo does not contain muriatic acid and will not negatively affect polymeric sand joints or surrounding plants and grass. It is the recommended pre sealing cleaner to ensure sealers achieve a deeper penetration into clean paver pores. For efflorescence stains, use Gator Efflorescence Cleaner instead. Alliance Gator Shampoo is a surface dirt cleaner, not an efflorescence remover.

Routine maintenance cleaning of concrete pavers and patio slabs Alliance Gator Shampoo is the go-to routine cleaner for concrete paver patios, driveways, walkways, and pool surrounds. Use it annually or as needed to remove embedded dirt, grime, and organic residue that dulls the paver surface over time.
Cleaning natural stone and wet cast stone surfaces Alliance Gator Shampoo is safe and effective on natural stone patios, flagstone walkways, wet cast stone steps, and stone walls. It lifts ground in dirt without the risk of damage associated with acid based cleaners.
Pre-sealing surface preparation Sealing over a dirty paver surface traps dirt and prevents the sealer from fully penetrating the paver pores. Alliance Gator Shampoo is the recommended prep cleaner before applying any Alliance sealer. Cleaning paver surfaces with polymeric sand joints Unlike acid based cleaners that can damage or discolor polymeric sand joints, Alliance Gator Shampoo will not negatively affect polymeric sand or resin jointing materials. It is the recommended routine maintenance cleaner for all Alliance polymeric sand products including Gator Maxx G2, Super Sand G2, Super Sand Bond, Maxx Sand, Nitro Joint Sand, and Nitro X Fine Joint Sand.
Not for efflorescence, oil stains, or rust Alliance Gator Shampoo removes surface dirt and grime but is not formulated for efflorescence (white mineral haze), oil and grease stains, or rust stains. Use Gator Efflorescence Cleaner, Gator XP Oil and Grease Remover, or Gator Rust Remover for those specific stain types.
How to Use Alliance Gator Shampoo Concentrated Paver Cleaner
Always refer to the latest Alliance Gator Shampoo Technical Data Sheet (TDS) before use. Always test on a hidden 4 sq ft area first. Work in sections of 75 sq ft to prevent the product from drying on the surface.
Before you begin: Always dilute. 4 parts water to 1 part concentrate. Never use at full strength. Do not apply under hot sun. Keep the entire paver surface wet from start to finish. Do not let Alliance Gator Shampoo dry on the surface. Wear goggles and rubber gloves. Prior use of other cleaners may reduce effectiveness.

Mix Alliance Gator Shampoo concentrate with water
In a clean bucket or pump sprayer, mix 1 part Alliance Gator Shampoo concentrate with 4 parts water. Stir or shake to combine. Do not use at a stronger concentration than this. a higher concentration of Gator Shampoo can discolor concrete pavers. For large areas, mix in larger batches maintaining the same 4:1 ratio.

Wet the paver surface thoroughly
Before applying Alliance Gator Shampoo, wet the paver surface thoroughly with clean water. The surface must remain wet throughout the entire cleaning process. Never apply Alliance Gator Shampoo to a dry surface or in hot, sunny conditions where the product could dry before you rinse it off.

Apply diluted Gator Shampoo and scrub in sections
Using a pump sprayer, watering can, or by dipping a brush directly into the diluted solution, apply Alliance Gator Shampoo to the wet paver surface. Work in sections of approximately 75 sq ft at a time. Scrub the surface vigorously with a hard bristle brush to lift embedded dirt. Use approximately 1 gallon of diluted solution per 75 sq ft of surface area.

Rinse thoroughly and move to the next section
After scrubbing each 75 sq ft section, rinse the area thoroughly with clean water before moving to the next section. Do not let Alliance Gator Shampoo sit on the surface without rinsing. Continue applying, scrubbing, and rinsing section by section across the entire area.

Final full rinse until all foaming stops
Once the full area has been scrubbed and section-rinsed, do a final full rinse of the entire cleaned surface with a garden hose until there is absolutely no more foaming action visible on the pavers. Any Alliance Gator Shampoo residue left on the surface after drying can leave a film. If heavy dirt is present, repeat the full process a second time.
