How to Remove Rust Stains From Pavers

- Apply directly onto the stain.
- Soak for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Scrub with a hard bristle brush.
- Rinse thoroughly with water.
- Repeat until the stain has dissolved.
Why the Treated Spot Can Look Different Afterwards
This catches people out. The rust comes off, and now you have one very clean patch in the middle of a patio that has weathered for five years.
- Alliance's own guidance is to follow up by cleaning the whole surface with Gator Efflorescence Cleaner so the color is uniform.
- Doing the whole patio also gets rid of the dirt you had stopped noticing.
- If you are planning to seal, this is the right order anyway: spot-treat stains, clean everything, dry 48 hours, then seal.
