Why Test a Degreaser First

CDX is a concentrated degreaser built for oil, grease, tar, gum, rubber marks and paint. It is strong, and how a stain responds depends on how long it has been sitting and what your surface is made of. A ten year old oil spot on porous concrete behaves differently to a fresh drip on sealed pavers.

Testing on one stain tells you whether CDX will clear the problem before you buy enough to do the whole driveway. It also lets you check the surface for any color change in a spot nobody looks at.

How to Use the Sample

• Pick your worst stain, or an out of the way corner if you are checking for color change
• Apply the concentrate directly to the dry stain
• Give it time to work, then agitate with a stiff brush
• Rinse thoroughly with water and let the area dry fully before judging the result
• Concrete darkens when wet, so wait for a completely dry surface before deciding
