Despite the Name, This Is Paver Butter
Adhesion Elutriant is a polymer modified, trass cement bonding slurry. You mix it into a creamy paste and either trowel it onto the back of each paver or dip the paver into it, then set the stone into the wet bedding layer. It creates a wet on wet bond so the paver cannot rock, shift or migrate.

About That Name

Adhesion Elutriant is the official ROMEX North America product name, so that is what we list it under and that is what you will find on the data sheet. It is also a translation artefact. The German original is Haftschlämme, which means adhesion slurry, and ROMEX’s own German site translates it correctly as a bonding slurry. An elutriant, in real English, is a liquid used in a laboratory particle separation process, which has nothing to do with this. If the name has confused you, that is why.

Coverage, pot life, open time and cure time are not published by ROMEX for this product. One Canadian distributor quotes 85 sq ft per bag, and we mention it only so you know where that number comes from. Real yield depends entirely on your trowel notch and how rough the paver backs are. If you need to order against an area, call us and we will work from the paver format rather than a borrowed figure.
