Textured to Look Like Concrete, and It Handles Movement
Sashco Slab is a 100 percent acrylic latex crack repair sealant, textured so the repair reads as aged concrete rather than a shiny caulk line. Unlike a rigid filler it is rated for movement, 25 percent total joint movement to ASTM C719, which means it belongs in a joint that actually moves.

How It Compares to the Other Two We Sell

We carry three products that go into concrete joints and they are not interchangeable. Slab is the mid weight option: genuinely movement rated, the widest joint capacity at two inches, and water clean up. Sikaflex Self Leveling is the heavy duty choice, carrying a full ASTM C920 Class 25 elastomeric rating, but it is limited to one and a half inches wide and it only works on horizontal joints. Liquid Nails CR-805 is capped at half an inch. Slab is not self levelling, so for a poured horizontal control joint the Sikaflex is the correct product.

Where Sashco Says Not to Use It

  • Not for submersion.
  • Not on driving surfaces until fully cured. Lay plywood over it if you must drive across.
  • It will not stick to silicone, waxes, polypropylene, polyethylene or Kynar. Old silicone and every trace of its residue must come out first with a silicone remover.
  • It is not self levelling, so it needs tooling and will not flow flat on its own.
  • Expect a concave finish. Natural shrinkage dishes the joint, and a second pass may be needed to fill flush.

Curing and Weather

  • Allow one to three days of cure before direct rainfall. If rain arrives sooner, cover it with plastic sheeting with airflow underneath.
  • Paintable after four hours with exterior paint, one to two days interior, and a week before oil based paints.
  • Cool temperatures and high humidity both slow the cure down.
