Protection Without Changing The Color Of Your Pavers

NS is Techniseal water based natural look protector. It forms a protective film over concrete pavers and slabs, shields them from erosion and staining agents, and stabilizes sand or aggregate joints at the same time, all without altering the original color. If the pavers already look the way the customer wants, this is the sealer that keeps them that way.

No Color Change
Preserves the original paver color
Eggshell Finish

750 sq ft per 5 gallon

Why Contractors Ask for NS Natural Look Sealer by Name

Plenty of homeowners want their pavers protected but not darkened, glossed, or enhanced. A wet look sealer on the wrong patio is an expensive mistake to undo.

  • It does not change the color. Techniseal is explicit that NS protects concrete pavers and slabs without any alteration to their original color. That is the whole reason this product exists in a line that also sells color enhancers.
  • It stabilizes the joints too. NS works as a joint stabilizer, strengthening sand or aggregate joints as it seals. That is two jobs from one product.
  • It forms a protective film. Unlike a penetrating sealer, NS builds a film over the surface, which is what gives it the erosion and stain resistance.
  • Water based. Easier cleanup, lower odor, and no solvent handling on site.
  • Eggshell finish. A very slight sheen rather than a matte flat or a gloss, which reads as natural on most concrete pavers.
  • Known coverage. Techniseal publishes 150 sq ft per gallon and 750 sq ft per 5 gallon, so estimating is straightforward.

Where NS Natural Look Sealer Works

NS is the default choice when the brief is protect it, do not change it.

  • Concrete paver patios, walkways, and driveways
  • Concrete slab surfaces
  • Newer pavers whose color the homeowner already likes
  • Installations where a wet look or gloss would be wrong for the style
  • Surfaces with sand or aggregate joints that need stabilizing
  • Maintenance resealing where the original appearance must be matched

Where NS Natural Look Sealer Should NOT Be Used (Straight From the Manufacturer)

Techniseal lists concrete pavers and concrete slabs. For natural stone, look at iN or CB+ instead, both of which list natural stone.

This is a film forming sealer. If you specifically need a non film forming, impregnating product for a slip prone area, iN is the one in this line.

Do not apply over a dirty or efflorescent surface. Clean and prep first, or you seal the problem in permanently.

Read the current technical data sheet for temperature, moisture, and cure requirements before you start.

How to Install NS Natural Look Sealer

Follow the official Techniseal instructions, linked below. This is the shape of the job:

  1. Clean the surface thoroughly and let it dry completely. Any efflorescence, dirt, or stain left behind gets sealed in.
  2. Confirm the joints are properly filled and cured.
  3. Test in a small discrete area first to confirm the finished appearance.
  4. Apply evenly per the technical data sheet, avoiding pooling in low areas.
  5. Respect the recoat and cure times given by Techniseal.
  6. Keep traffic off through the cure period.

Always test a small area first, even with a no color change sealer. Every paver reacts slightly differently and the test patch costs you five minutes.

Quick Answers

Will this darken my pavers?
No. Techniseal states NS protects without any alteration to the original color. For a deliberate color boost, use CB+ or JS instead.

Does it stabilize the joint sand?
Yes. NS works as a stabilizer for paver joints as well as a surface sealer.

How much do I need?
A gallon covers up to 150 sq ft and a 5 gallon covers up to 750 sq ft, before adjusting for joint width and paver porosity.

Can I use it on natural stone?
Techniseal lists concrete pavers and concrete slabs for NS. For natural stone, iN and CB+ both list it.

Is it water based?
Yes, which means easier cleanup and lower odor than a solvent based sealer.

What finish will I get?
Eggshell, which is a very slight sheen rather than a flat matte or a gloss.
