Techniseal JSW Sealer & Joint Stabilizer - Wet Look- Gallon
A Permanent Wet Look Gloss, In A Water Based Formula
JSW gives concrete and interlocking pavers the deep, just rained on wet look that customers ask for by name, and it stabilizes the sand or aggregate joints while it does it. What makes it unusual is the chemistry: Techniseal calls it a unique water based gloss finish formula, so you get the gloss without the solvent handling. It is microporous, so the surface still breathes.

Why Contractors Ask for JSW Wet Look Sealer by Name
Wet look is the most requested finish in residential hardscaping and the one most often achieved with a solvent sealer. Getting it from a water based product changes what the job is like to do.
- A permanent wet look finish. Techniseal describes the result as a permanent wet look, not a temporary sheen that flattens after a season.
- Water based gloss. Techniseal calls this a unique water based gloss finish formula. Most wet look sealers are solvent based, which means odor, ventilation, and cleanup considerations that JSW avoids.
- It stabilizes the joints as it seals. Sand and aggregate joints are fortified in the same application, so you are not adding a separate stabilizing step.
- Microporous. The cured film lets moisture vapor move rather than trapping it under the gloss, which is where blushing and whitening usually come from.
- It repels stains and slows erosion, which is the practical work a sealer does once the gloss stops being the headline.
- Published coverage of 150 sq ft per gallon makes it straightforward to estimate and to quote.

Where JSW Wet Look Sealer Works
JSW is for the customer who wants the patio to look wet and stay looking that way.
- Concrete paver patios where a rich finish is the goal
- Interlocking paver driveways and entries
- Feature areas, entertaining spaces, and pool surrounds where appearance leads
- Surfaces with sand or aggregate joints needing stabilization
- Faded pavers that need their color brought back
- Projects where solvent odor would be a problem but gloss is still wanted
Where JSW Wet Look Sealer Should NOT Be Used (Straight From the Manufacturer)
Techniseal lists concrete pavers and interlocking pavers. For natural stone, look at iN or CB+.
Gloss increases slickness when wet. On pool decks, steps, and slopes, add Techniseal SureFoot anti slip grit, or specify iN instead.
This is a strong color enhancement. If the customer wants no change, use NS or iN.
Do not apply over a dirty, damp, or efflorescent surface. Gloss magnifies whatever is underneath it.
Read the current technical data sheet for temperature, moisture, and recoat requirements before you start.

How to Install JSW Wet Look Sealer
Follow the official Techniseal instructions, linked below. This is the shape of the job:
- Clean the surface thoroughly and let it dry completely. Gloss shows every imperfection you seal in.
- Confirm the joints are filled and cured.
- Test a small discrete area and get the customer to approve the finished look before you commit.
- Apply evenly per the technical data sheet, keeping a wet edge and avoiding pooling.
- Respect the recoat and cure times specified by Techniseal.
- Keep traffic off through the full cure period.
Wet look is the finish customers most often change their mind about after seeing it. A test patch and a signature before you seal the whole patio protects both of you.
Quick Answers
How glossy is it?
It is a gloss wet look finish, the strongest enhancement in this part of the Techniseal line. JS is the satin option and NS is the natural option.
Will it be slippery?
Any gloss film adds slickness when wet. For pool decks, steps, and slopes, mix in Techniseal SureFoot anti slip grit or use the non film forming iN instead.
Is it really water based?
Yes. Techniseal describes it as a unique water based gloss finish formula, which is uncommon for a wet look sealer.
Does it stabilize joint sand?
Yes, sand and aggregate joints are fortified as part of the same application.
How long does the wet look last?
Techniseal describes the finish as permanent. Like any sealer it will need maintenance recoating over time depending on traffic and exposure.
How much do I need?
Up to 150 sq ft per gallon, or 750 sq ft per 5 gallon, adjusted for joint width and porosity.
