Installation Guidelines

Installation Guidelines

  1. Bedding Course: Spread a 2" (50 mm) layer over the base course.
  2. Surface Tolerance: Ensure the bedding layer has a surface tolerance of ±3/8" (10 mm) over a 10 ft (3 m) straight edge.
  3. Paver Installation: Lay pavers without subjecting the bedding material to pedestrian or vehicular traffic before installation.
  4. Joint Filling: Sweep Gator Aqua Rock into joints and remove excess material.
  5. Compaction: Use a low-amplitude plate compactor with at least 4,000 lb (18 kN) centrifugal compaction force to set pavers into the bedding material.
  6. Final Adjustment: After compaction, ensure joints are filled up to 1/8" (3 mm) from the top of the pavers.
